Hi! I just tested Vista for the first time, I had to install a complicated network involving one router using another router.
Any way, I had a few moments to test PBCool on Vista.
I discovered the problem.
Please follow these instructions carefully.
:
| Code: |
Delete the Shortcut to PBCool on your desktop.
Open Explorer, and navigate to C:/Program Files/aLeX^rS/PBCool/
Right click PBCool.exe, click Create-Shortcut. Choose 'Yes' to create the shortcut on your desktop.
Switch to your desktop, open the new PBCool shortcut.
If you've set any compatibility options for PBCool, unset them.
No compatibility mode, no administrator mode.

NECRO,
turn off the vista UAC - pbcool will work then.
ALEX,
any sign of the java version - using vista with the UAC turned on just to get pbcool working is a real bind... the UAC sucks big time. |

The UCA is off, pc restarted and I still get the run-time error 372 |

I managed to get it to work by installing PBCool to c:downloadsalex^rspbcool and running it out of that directory (no icons). |

Hey guys,
I have a new Box with Vista coming on the 16th. I'll figure out why so many people are experiencing issues running PBCool on Vista, and I'll share my discoveries / make patches.
Yes, I'm still working on the Java Version (I was contemplating porting my existing Java Code to C++, but everything is taking far too long, I will continue with the Java Version). |

Thanks |

I have tryed all the ones posted on this page, none of them worked for me.
I tryed with all three PB's 3.9.2, 3.9.6, and 3.9.7
